H.E. Ambassador Yu Hong Presented Credentials to His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam

On February 4, 2019, H. E. Ms. Yu Hong, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam presented credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in Nurul Iman. After the presenting ceremony, H.E. Ms Yu Hong had an audience with His Majesty, with Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam attending the audience.

H. E.Ms. Yu Hong conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes of H. E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of People's Republic of China and H. E. Mr. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council, People's Republic of China, to His Majesty, and expressed that China-Brunei relations is currently in best shape, and as Ambassador to Brunei, she will make her best efforts to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of states, for further China Brunei Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and enhancing traditional friendship between the two peoples.

His Majesty asked H. E.Ms. Yu Hong to convey its sincere greetings to H. E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of People's Republic of China and H. E. Mr. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council, People's Republic of China, and sent Chinese New Year wishes to the Chinese People. His Majesty said, Brunei Darussalam attaches great importance to the traditional and friendly relations with China, and looks forward to making common efforts with the Chinese side to further promote bilateral relations and develop practical cooperation between the two countries.

H. E.Ms. Yu Hong arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan to assume her office on January 16, 2019.
