Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Training Ship Qi Jiguang visits Brunei

Chinese PLAN training ship Qi Jiguang visited Brunei from 27 to 30 September.

Over 400 people including H.E. Madam Yu Hong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei, Captian Norshahrinizam bin haji damit, the Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, and representatives from the Chinese community and Chinese institutions in Brunei attended the welcome ceremony.

During the visit, Rear Admiral Yu Wenbing, head of the delegation and commissar of the PLA Dalian Naval Academy paid courtesy calls on Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF and First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, Commander of the RBN. The Chinese naval personnel visited the RBN Patrol Vessel and conducted beach cleaning, professional exchanges and sports interaction with the RBN personnel.

The Ship also held an onboard reception, opened to the public, and carried out a PASSEX exercise with the RBN PV.
