Among about 50 attendees are Embassy staffs and their families, representatives from Chinese enterprises, Chinese students and other Chinese nationals in Brunei. While the flag was being hoisted, ceremony attendees saluted the national flag with the eyes and sang loudly the national anthem.

H. E. Ambassador Yu Hong gave remarks afterwards. She said that this year is a year of tenacious fight against the COVID-19 pandemic under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and with all-out efforts from Chinese people across the country. It’s also a year of joint efforts between China and countries all over the world to rise up to this global health challenge. Chinese Embassy, Chinese enterprises and nationals not only supported the fight at home, but also joined Brunei’s effort in its battle against COVID-19, contributing to the epidemic prevention and control as well as China-Brunei cooperation in various areas. Ambassador Yu then called for more efforts in promoting China-Brunei friendship and cooperation, and wished everyone present a happy holiday.
