On the auspicious occasion of the 26th National Day of Brunei Darussalam, I would like to extend, on behalf of the Chinese Government and People and also in my own name, the warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Majesty and, through Your Majesty, to the Bruneian Government and People.

The past 26 years have seen Brunei enjoying political stability and economic prosperity, where its people live and work in peace and contentment. Brunei has become a real Darussalam, which China is sincerely glad to see. I am convinced that under Your Majesty's sensible leadership, the Bruneian people will score new and bigger achievements on the road of national development, and will smoothly realize the Wawasan 2035.

Long as traditional and good neighbours, China and Brunei Darussalam have enjoyed rapid development in bilateral relations. The Chinese Government attaches great importance to its friendly and good-neighbourly cooperation with Brunei Darussalam. I would like to make joint efforts with Your Majesty to promote constant progress in the China-Brunei relations so as to better benefit our two peoples.

May Your Majesty enjoy a perfect health! May Brunei Darussalam and its people enjoy lasting prosperity and happiness!

In the coming year, I stand ready in close collaboration with Your Royal Highness to elevate the China-Brunei relationship to a new high.
